Like you most likely I’m an extremely keen and enthusiastic cyclist. I’ve been riding bikes most of my life (25 years+) and for some reason, they always seem to end up taking priority over everything else in my life!
I love cycling come rain or shine but I’ve always been a keen fan of indoor training and over the past five years turbo training has become an integral part of my riding, training and general enjoyment.
Enjoyment, you scream! Yes! I love it and although many have called me mad for it over the years, the advances in indoor cycling made over the past 3-5 years have been immense and things have changed. People who once questioned my sanity are now purchasing expensive smart trainers and signing up to platforms such as Zwift, Trainerroad and BKool. In fact, in my riding circle, indoor training has now become the norm and people think you’re mad for not using it!
I’m an avid fan of Trainerroad and more recently Zwift. Trainerroad has given me so much in terms of fitness and performance since it’s release I can’t rate it highly enough. Now Zwift has bought me into the world of indoor cycle racing and I wonder if my Conti’s will ever see tarmac again!
I’m joking. Of course, I love riding outdoors but indoor cycling along with the equipment needed to partake in it has become something that among my peers I’ve become the go-to guy to get in touch with regarding what’s good, what’s not and just general best practice for getting the most out of it.
It was my peers that first encouraged me to set up this blog to share my wealth of knowledge in this particular field of cycling so I hope anyone who stumbles across it will find what I have to say of some use and benefit.
Here you’ll find me posting reviews, guides, offering up opinions and just generally covering as much as possible to do with indoor cycling.
